This is a 5-week course for parents/carers and their children, where appropriate. The course is practical and interactive. The course may involve the following: · Numbers and counting – playing games and singing number rhymes · Shape and space – looking at simple shapes and patterns · Time games – playing games that have a time theme · Measuring and weighing – playing with play dough to introduce mathematical language. The course is designed to:
Enable parents/carers to support their child’s development and provide fun learning opportunities
Provide opportunities for parents to extend their own literacy and numeracy skills and work towards a qualification, if appropriate
Please bring ID for funding purposes as you need to be eligible for UK public funding. You do need to be able to commit to the required hours per week of the course.
