      Singing nursery rhymes are a great way to develop language and can be linked with with popular books, for example The Little Brown Mouse in The Gruffalo and Hickory Dickory Dock (the mouse ran up the clock).  You can sing anywhere - in the car, when walking, cooking meals, at bedtime, playing games.
